jI THINK while I slept the English language underwent an overhaul! The words "leapt", "knelt" and "spelt" have disappeared. When reading an article or novel, now I find that "he leaped", "he kneeled", and even a question on your excolleague Andrew Castle's game show Divided asked "Which word has been spelled properly?" Eh? I even had to check in a dictionary to make sure I wasn't going mad.
