I have flown to New York on Concorde, crossed the Atlantic on the QM2 and travelled on a Japanese Bullet Train. I have eaten snake soup in Hong Kong, guinea pig in Peru and ostrich steaks in the Western Cape.

I have dived in the Red Sea, floated in the Dead Sea and snorkelled in the peacock-blue waters of a Maldives atoll. I have met rogues, tycoons, Touaregs and Tennessee bartenders, and returned to tell the tale on these pages - hopefully inspiring you to head off to discover these places for yourself.
