SIR ALEX FERGUSON last night rejected David Beckham's claim that Roy Keane would be the Manchester United manager's ideal successor at Old Trafford. England skipper and former United star Beckham claimed that Keane was destined to become a great boss and would be the perfect choice for Fergie's replacement at Old Trafford. But Fergie, who staved off talk of his imminent departure by masterminding United's 1-0 win over runaway Premiership leaders Chelsea at the weekend, rejected Beckham's claim.
