FELIPE MASSA left hospital yesterday targeting a return from his near-death smash - and admitted: "I'm lucky to be alive."

The Brazilian, who was almost killed by a kilo suspension spring in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix 10 days ago, left hospital by ambulance and boarded a private plane bound for his home in Sao Paulo.
