SURELY restaurant customers deserve to be told who gets the tips they leave for staff? Not if the British Hospitality Association has its way. Bowing to pressure to come clean on tips - restaurant bosses can still pocket credit tips and service charges - it is willing to ask its members to have a "written note available for inspection" by customers.
