HEATHER WATSON has been dubbed the new Martina Hingis after becoming the first Briton to win the US Open girls' singles title.

The 17-year-old from Guernsey, who trains at Nick Bollettieri's Tennis Academy in Florida, emulated Andy Murray's 2004 victory in the boys' singles. And Nigel Sears, head of women's coaching at the LTA, said: "Heather reminds me of Martina Hingis at that age.
